An Intimate Winter Wedding in NYC with Hannah and Jonathan

A Beautiful Winter Wedding in NYC: Hannah & Jon’s Intimate Celebration

As a photographer, there’s nothing quite like capturing a love story that’s uniquely personal and set against the stunning backdrop of New York City. Hannah and Jon’s wedding was nothing short of magical—filled with intimate moments, family, laughter, and a touch of winter magic. Here’s a glimpse into their beautiful day.

Getting Ready at The Empire Hotel

The day began at the iconic Empire Hotel, where Hannah and her two sisters prepped for the big moment. Hair and makeup was wrapping up as I began, and it was so refreshing to have such a small group to show up with. I’m so often in chaotic rooms with dozens of people getting glammed so it was a nice change of pace to just have a few gals laughing and taking it easy.

A Walk Through Central Park to Bethesda Terrace

After finishing up at the hotel, we took a short stroll to Central Park, where the real magic of their ceremony awaited. Bethesda Terrace provided the perfect spot for a truly intimate gathering. Surrounded by their closest family, Hannah and Jon exchanged vows in a ceremony that felt as personal as it was beautiful.

Post-ceremony, we ventured through Central Park for a few chilly portraits. Despite the cold, Hannah and Jon were absolute troopers, embracing the winter air and enjoying some time to themselves. Central Park is one of the most iconic parks in the world, so it’s always a personal favorite for me to spend an afternoon there.

A Cozy Moment at a Dive Bar

After portraits, the newlyweds wanted a moment of privacy to unwind before heading to the reception. They hopped into a cab and made their way downtown to a cozy, no-frills dive bar, where they could enjoy a drink and reflect on the day so far. It was a quiet moment of calm before the celebration continued, and it was so lovely to see them relax and simply enjoy each other’s company.

Reception at The Gray Mare

The celebration continued at The Gray Mare, a charming venue perfect for an intimate gathering like this. When Hannah and Jon entered, they were greeted by the cheers and applause of their family and friends. It was clear how loved they both are. The reception was filled with well-wishers, special dances, and of course, the traditional cake-cutting. There was so much joy in the room—it was impossible not to feel it.

A Touch of Winter Magic

As the night drew to a close, the snow began to fall, exactly how Hannah had wished. There’s something truly magical about seeing big, beautiful snowflakes drifting down, especially on such a special day. It was the perfect ending to a perfect winter celebration.

Hannah and Jon’s wedding was a reminder of the power of intimate moments, family bonds, and the beauty of winter in New York City. From their heartfelt ceremony to the quiet moments shared at a dive bar, everything felt personal, genuine, and full of love. I’m so grateful to have been a part of their unforgettable day.

Wishing this beautiful couple all the best as they start this next chapter of their lives together!
