Britnee and George are a fun and upbeat couple who know how to have a good time! They were such a joy to work with and I loved shooting their October wedding at Baldoria on the Water. I think one of my favorite parts of the day was when Britnee was getting ready with all of the girls in one of the dressing rooms and she had just gotten into her dress and shoes. I think that was the moment of “whoa, I’m getting married today” really set in. She snuck over to the window and peeked at the guests trickling into the ceremony and her eyes just lit up.

She and George had exchanged gifts before the ceremony but decided not to do a first look. They wanted to keep that moment really special when Britnee walked down the aisle. Before long, the ceremony had begun and everybody was happily enjoying the moment out by the water behind the venue. The ceremony was sweet and sentimental, they exchanged sealed notes and dropped them into a wine box which they would open on their first anniversary. I love little traditions like these because they are so personal and will continue to make the couple’s wedding day live on long after everything is over.

After the ceremony, everyone dispersed into cocktail hour but we kept family formals and bridal party portraits close by so people could grab a drink and mingle around the other guests. This is where having a second shooter is super helpful because she can be designated for reading down our list and making sure we have no runners ;) The light was starting to get a little softer so I snagged Britnee and George away for a few private moments to do some romantics. They are always one of my favorite parts of the day because it is so nice to be able to give couples some alone time to really enjoy one another’s company. Wedding days are so filled with activities and company and all the buzz of the event that it is easy to go the whole day without any time just to the two of you guys.

The reception was fun and upbeat, I knew immediately that this crowd was going to have a great dance party! The DJ kept the music going all night and it was great to see so many adults and children holding the dance floor down all night. I loved working with this awesome couple!
